The sapphire is supported by 51 rose cut diamonds with a total estimated diamond weight of 2.52ct, of N+ colour and SI–P clarity. The piece is marked with an Imperial period Russian hallmark stating the gold’s fineness as 56 zolotniks (14ct) and features the right-facing Kokoshnik assay mark (a woman in headdress), dating the piece to 1908–1927.
